I was on Yaz for a number of years, but recently my new DR put me on Loestrin 24. I was on Loestrin for a month before it was discontinued, and started taking Minastrin. I've been taking Minastrin for about 4 months now, trying to allow my body to get used to the new drug. I am completely dissatisfied with this medication. I find myself spotting 2 weeks before my actual cycle, and then finall ... Show Full Comment

After taking Loestrin 24 FE for many years, I have been prescribed Ministrin, due to Loestrin 24 FE being discontinued. It has been 4 months, and I must say the side effects are horrible. Never having side effects with my previous BC, it is very disappointing to experience constant nausea, dizziness, bloating, acne cysts, weight gain, and fatigue. Especially since it is supposed to have the same c ... Show Full Comment

I originally got on BC not only for birth control, but for abnormal heavy bleeding. I loved Loestrin 24 fe and was displeased when they told me it was discontinued. I barely had a period and I had absolutely no side effects while on it. Now on this crap and I immediately had horrible side effects. During the first month I had severe cramping during my second week of pack that lasted through to the ... Show Full Comment

I was on loestrin 24 fe for over a year and loved it. I went to the pharmacy to get my monthly prescription and discovered it had been discontinued and replaced with minastrin. I have experienced side effects such as headaches, breast tenderness, mood swings, and fatigue (that I did not experience with loestrin). I am very unhappy with this medication and will be switching to the generic brand ... Show Full Comment
