My girlfriend was on loestrine for 4 years and they switched her to minestrine. She stopped wanting to have regular sex with me. I commented on how good dinner was one night and she picked up a butcher knife and chased me out of the apartment onto the balcony. I jumped off the 2nd story and landed in the bushes breaking my arm. She has turned into a complete psychopath and I don't even know wh ... Show Full Comment

I was given 2 sample packets of these pills by my gyno at my last visit. I started taking it this month because my pharmacy messed up my normal prescription with Junel and luckily I had these pills on hand to take until my next refill of Junel in about 2 weeks. I hate this pill. I've already had one period, and am on my second this month alone. WITH spotting in between. Plus I have cramps agai ... Show Full Comment

I have only been on it for about a month and half and I agree with most of these reviews. I don't know that i gained weight because of it ( mine has been changing all year so i can't tell) but the worse thing for me is I went from having a very short period or none on Loestrin, to having just gone through 2 periods in one month, with spotting in-between on Minastrin. I can't believe t ... Show Full Comment

My wife has been on this medication since last August, since she started her mental state isn't what it used to be.She has constant mood swings, always depressed, and lacks motivation to do anything. I insisted that she should quit this pill, but she denies that this product is the cause of her looney behavior. I am a patient individual, but this pill is ruining my marriage. I would not recomm ... Show Full Comment

I started taking Minastrin because loestrin was discontinued. With loestrin I had no problems, no weight gain, nothing. When switching to minastrin I gained an easy 10 lbs, and my cramps have become horrible. Really sad they discontinued loestrin because that birth control was the best I've been on.
