This was my first time on the pill, and everything went smoothly at first. Before starting birth control, I rarely had acne and if I did, it was minimal. However, after a month on Minastrin, I started getting really bad acne that lasted for two months straight. Other than the acne, I had no other side effects, and the pill worked effectively minus the acne. I ended up switching to another pill, an ... Show Full Comment

Just like everyone else, I have had horrible side effects since the Loesrtrin 24 to Minastrin switch. Headaches, nauseous, stomach cramps (and I don't have a period with this one either), horrible and embarrassing acne every other month, one month severe breast tenderness that I thought I was pregnant. I have taken 3 pregnancy tests on this pill not knowing at the time they were side effects ... Show Full Comment

Horrible sideaffects. High blood pressure, headaches, nonstop bleeding and crazy mood swings. I cry for no reason at all. Ive been sleepy all the time. I get to work and literally fall asleep anywhere. Horrible thing to happen at my job. I had to stop taking it or I would have to take antidepressants and buy bigger clothes due to the weight gain. Good luck.

Hate It! I was forced to take it after my other bc was discontinued. Ive gained weight and my breast grew a size and hurt all the time. I am in the fitness industry and work out 4-5 during the week with a clean diet and still have unnecessary fat and breast tenderness.

AWFUL! Like several other ladies, I was forced to switch to Minastrin after Loestrin 24 FE was discontinued. I had a great relationship with Loestrin but this is quite the opposite. My period has been persisting for 8 days (on Loestrin they were always 5). I've gotten terrible acne and I've noticed some weight gain. Save yourself the hassle and DO NOT TAKE THIS DRUG. I'm going to switc ... Show Full Comment
