Methotrexate caused problem with reoccurring infections, chest, bladder etc. changed to leflunomide and has worked for me.
I have had several joint replacements, both hips, plus 3 revisions, knee, shoulder, prior to taking this. Inflammation now under control, diagnosed with RA in 1980.

developed severe rash on left forarm itching bad taking drug for itch stopped taking 3 days ago will meet with RA Dr 2 weeks I will not take drug anymore

This medication has totally had nothing but adverse reactions to my body! I took it for 7 weeks, and went thru hell, after the first 3 weeks! It is taking 3x + as long to get it out of my system! If your Doctor recommends taking this medication,- I STRONGLY ADVISE - DO NOT TAKE IT!!! I have only been diagnosed with minor Osteo/ Rheumo. I took Leflunomide for 7 weeks, then stopped. After the first 2 weeks, my pain increased, I experienced nausea, diarhea, extreme gas pain, and hair loss. My doctor said it will take several months for my body to get back to it's normal functioning.

Just too many side effects after one month. Stopped taking it and am seeing my doctor in the am. Would not suggest this drug to anyone.
