The itching from the yeast infection is annoying, and I relieved it with some diluted vinegar, but thought that might not be enough. This medication, like others like it (miconazole, ticonazole, butoconazole, etc.) can, and likely will cause some pretty nasty external burning when you use it. Why shouldn't it? Peroxide burns when you put it on a cut, right? I just grit my teeth and bear it, because if you use it before bed, it goes away before you wake up. Better than a yeast infection any day. DO NOT USE!!! I have written here before, but want to let you know again! It has been 5 years since I used this stuff and I am still suffering from the effects from it. I still, after 4 years now, have had to do IVIG infusions from this Monistat 1! I have been thru hell! I believe it go into my blood stream and when it does look out. Please do not use! I am beggin you!
