I tried MTX, Remicade, etc. Went on Arava in January 2009, lost my appetite and 40 lbs. Arava helped some but couldn't get past the pain and stiffness. In August, 3 years after being diagnosed with RA, trying different meds, shots in the shoulders because I could hardly move, I got to the point where I said "is this the way I have to live my life?" Have been on Enbrel for 5 months now, it is fantastic! I was at the point of not being able to function on a daily basis. I had a hard time walking, sitting the swelling and stifness was getting unbearable. I really thought I would be lucky to not be in a wheelchair within months. 3 weeks after starting Enbrel I saw and felt major differences. I can walk ( exercise too) and I can ride a bike 8=10 ... i took this drug for 10 mo's then I had pericardis of the heart i was wondering should I keep taking this drug.

Enbrel is working pretty good for myself, before I had too much pain, now I am feeling much better.
