I have taken Zyprexa for 5 years in addition to other antipressants for Major Depression. Zyprexa helped my depression when other antidepressants quit working by themselves. However I have gained 85 pounds, have horrible sugar cravings, have High cholesterol, high blood pressure, has ruined my usually trim figure. Dropped my blood pressure, made me hungry ALL the time, couldn't pee, made me feel like my mind was inside a box filled with cotton. I hated it and stopped it after 5 days. I got better without it using Paxil alone for 8 weeks. Now I take nothing.

I first tried it a couple years ago, but stopped due to the weight gain. I did notice a positive change in the way I felt though. I tried other meds since but nothing helped like the Zyprexa did. Now I'm back on it, trying to control the weight gain (15 lbs in 4 mos), better yet my whole life has changed for the better! I sleep better, wake up refreshed and ready to get up and go, go, go! A comple ... Show Full Comment
