I take BCP's so that I don't have to have my period, but I needed a higher dose because Yasmin wasn't working so well. But I think I'd rather go back to Yasmin because I didn't have ANY unwanted hair. I have yet to have the serious mood s ... Show Full Comment

I've been taking this bc pill for about two years now. My periods are WAAAY lighter than I used to have, but the only downfall is that I get horrible mood swings. It feels almost like I'm PMSing all the time. I've just been riding through it though, but now that I've read that this is a common thing, I think I'm going to switch.

I was on this drug for about a month when I had to get off of it. This drug has caused severe naseua, mood swings, and depression for me. I am going back to my doctor tomorrow to try a different type of birth control pill.

I started necon about 3 months ago (my first time on birth control) and the only side effect I experienced was slight nausea during the first month and a period that lasted 2 weeks. I started this birth control at the end of the summer when I had gained about 5 pounds from lots of beers and hot dogs and have since returned to my normal weight (which was something I was worried about when starting ...
