I am 30 years old and I was prescribed Tamiflu after being diagnosed with the flu. I felt better within a few hours of taking it. I was amazed. I was really sick and was worried that I may have to be hospitalized. I had been running a high fever and could hardly breathe. The only downside were the side effects. They were pretty bad. It left a terrible taste in my mouth and made everything I ate a...

My daughter was given tamiflu for early treatment of the flu. She took 3 doses and had to hospitalized due to her liver function test being almost triple the normal and she had a very depressed white blood cell count. the leaflet they give in the package does not say anything about these side affects but the Roche laboratories website for tamiflu has them listed adviseing that they did not find th...

I'm 72 y.o. and can't remember ever having the Flu. Well, I got it. I had ALL of the symptoms. Doc prescribed Tamiflu 2x a day. It worked as expected, but unlike other Flu victims' reviews, I only had a couple of side effects, i.e., mild bad taste & diarrhea. No nausea, bad dreams or anxiety. I'm on day 3 & almost feel normal. I still have an annoying cough after a deepbreath, but no sore throat. I've never had a Flu shot, but it will be a yearly "must" from now on.

I am 25 weeks pregnant and tested positive for Influenza A virus. I had never felt so sick from the flu and had a hard time breathing. Thankfully the doctor prescribed me tamiflu and I feel so much better, it is only day 2/5. I’m grateful for this drug.

I say this with full sincerity: DO. NOT. TAKE. THIS. Last week I began feeling the classic aches, chills, and fever. My mom had just been diagnosed with the flu, so I called the urgent care she went to and they prescribed me Tamaflu, same as her; this was a huge mistake. I simply could not feel worse. I have seen zero improvement to my symptoms, with the side effects seemingly causing problems of their own! Can't taste or smell, disgusting taste in my mouth, AND spontaneous nosebleeds! And not a little drip, full on gushing nosebleeds! Oh and delirium, irritability, and much more. I can't really recall since the brain fog is BEYOND. Stay away, drink fluids and take Acetaminophen. This will only make you feel worse and make you see red. Read More Read Less

Caused a panic attack and confusion. I was hearing tweeting sounds, like my wrist watch was going off. I ended up visiting a nurse practitioner who explained that anxiety can be results from taking this drug. She took me off of it after I took a half of a course. That was the second panic attack that I have experienced in my life. It was terrifying.

On the 8th of February I wasn't feeling great I could feel a sore throat coming. on so I did antigen test and it was negative. On the 9th I phoned the doctor and he prescribed tamiflu thinking I had a flu coming on so I started taking tamiflu that day. On Friday I did another antigen test and it was positive so I kept taking the tamiflu 2 tablets a day for 5 days. The first time I had covid I was very sick for a fews day but this time having covid wasn't so bad not sure if tamiflu helped me with covid but this time around I wasn't as sick Read More Read Less

I was diagnosed with the flu, just suspect, teledoc. I've had fever up to 101, chills, body aches and horrible headache, for almost 4 days. I've taken Tamiflu for 2 days now and feel worse, horrible nausea, severe headache and still have fever. I think I'm going to stop taking it today and deal with the symptoms. I'm still waiting to turn the corner, never again.

Took a days worth (2 pills) and I woke up around 4am or sooner with a horrible horrible migraine. I mean horrible to point I couldn’t keep anything down for 24 hrs besides water. Slept all day long and also need up in the ER because it was so bad. Wouldn’t wish something like that on my worst enemy. Honestly suggest on letting it pass on its own.

Woke up feeling sick day after Christmas. Some wheezing. Light dry cough. Tiredness. 101 fever at noon. 103 at 3pm. Normally, I do not seek medical help unless there is a fever. Went to urgent care next morning, tested positive for Flu B. They gave me Tamiflu 2x a day. Took 1 that day. All symptoms cleared up the 2nd day. No real side effects. You can still feel something in your lungs, but no fever or coughing. I have had anosmia for 8 years, so I could not tell if my taste was affected. I can't smell or taste anyway. But it's been a week I have STOPPED taking Tamiflu, my stomach/gut hasn't felt 'normal'. Don't know it it's the remnants of the Tamiflu, or remnants of the flu that never developed. I haven't had a flu since childhood. I have never taken a flu shot. But I will start from now on.Read More Read Less

Was given this because although I did not have the flu, my doctor prescribed me this to shorten the symptoms of when I was really sick. I would definitely recommend taking this pill after eating or you’ll feel extremely nauseous on an empty stomach. I also stopped taking this two days after. My symptoms went away but on the third day I felt extremely depressed, and was having suicidal thoughts. It could have just already increased those feelings I’ve been feeling but i felt really low.

I had a severe cough and a mild fever when I went to Urgent Care. Since I tested positive for Flu, I was given Tamiflu. I have taken them for 3 days now and I see no improvement in my cough. The mild fever still continues and Acetaminophen helps with the fever. While I literally see no effect on the original Flu symptoms I have, I see a lot of disgusting side effects. Everything tastes really bad and I can live with it. But the thing I can't tolerate is sleeplessness and very disturbing bad dreams even when I get to sleep sometimes. Read More Read Less

The medicine worked great a helping me recover from the flu but the side effect of lost taste and smell is not worth the risk. It’s been 2 weeks and I still have a horrible taste in my mouth. The same taste I got while taking the medicine. This should be taken off of the market. When I as my Internist about the medicine he agreed it should be taken off of the market due to the horrible side effects. It was prescribed to me by an urgent care doctor, if I would have know these side effects I would never had taken this crap. My internist says he has had patients that don’t clear the side effects for 8-12 months. Again not worth the risk STAY AWAY. Read More Read Less

Started feeling "off" in the am, then cold, shaking chills. Freezing cold, skin on fire. Called Dr and got Tamiflu, took around 7pm. At 3am most symptoms were GONE. 8am next day tested neg for flu, covid, and rsv. Continued with Rx anyway. Felt 80+% better. I call it a miracle drug. Highly recommend but start it ASAP! Amazing what I avoided almost completely!

Im on day three of treatment and i will definitely not be taking the rest of them. Did it make half of my symptoms disappear yes. But i feel super anxious, nauseous, i feel really off, and im having super weird dreams. It feels like when you come of anesthesia and i did not like that experience at all. I dont think i will take this medication again.

I took it one day after being exposed I still got the flu but not nearly as bad as I have experienced in the past. I had one bad day with stomach pain and I did have a headache but not to sure if that was from the flu or tamiflu. I do think it made my symptoms less severe so I'm glad I took it.

my kids had flu type a for over a week and since i was taking care of them at home i got it too. once i had 24 hrs of feeling like i was dying i got seen and was told i have flu type a too. they prescribed me tamiflu and i now felt overnight a huge difference. only negative thing is now everything doesnt taste right and i have a foul taste in my mouth. i read online others have had that too,so im not sure if its due to me still being extremely congested or from the meds. i have taken just about anything otc for congestion and nothing is working to take it away. so for now im suffering. plus the congestion created fluid on my ear so now i cant hear out one of my ears so thats fun Read More Read Less

I was reluctant to take Tamiflu With all the negative side effects that are listed. Being highly recommended by my Dr. an living with an autoimmune disease, I did agree an to start a 5 day course, not until the 6th day of having the flu!! Not only did I not have one single side effect but after the 1st pill I felt better. I highly recommend . One tip, I took it on a full stomach each time. Finished my 5 day course today and I'm feeling awesome.

I tested positive for the flu and negative for covid so I was prescribed Tamiflu- I’ve had flu symptoms for 2 days so they said it was early enough to go ahead and take the medication. Today is day 1 or taking the pill and my symptoms has doubled! I am stuffed up, cold chills with a low grade fever and more body pain.
