My 11 year old son came down with flu symptoms and was given Tamiflu within 36 hours. He took first dose about one o'clock p.m. By suppertime his fever was down and he said he felt much better. He took another dose at bedtime, and seemed even better the next day. Tonight he finished his 5 day course. He had no side effects that we noticed. I got sick and elected not to take it. I regret it. After first course of antibiotics gave no relief, in bed another week, then doctor prescribed Tamiflu together with Avelon (I also had bronchitis). After 2nd day, I honestly thought I would die. Nausea, panic attacks, general feeling of not being in control of my body. I felt terrible throughout, but finished the 5 day course (both drugs) on Friday 14 August. My doctor says I have the swine flu, after the first dosage, I woke up and the swollen lymphnodes were mostly gone and I feel 90% better. It makes me a little noxious but I feel way better than I did with the flu. Thank god it works!
