On day 2, I took a 400mg pill and went to bed. I woke up two hours later feeling very light-headed/dizzy and shaky. My hands were cold and sweaty, and my legs were partially numb. The room wouldn't stop spinning. Stopped taking Avelox and will never take again.

Either Avelox will work great for you or you will have an allergic reaction to it. It worked great for me and I have not experienced any side effects. Was perscribed this med for a sore throat which developed after a 10 day antilbiotic course to treat a sinus infection. I developed a severe skin rash, hives, shortness of breath, fainting and dizziness. Had to go to the Emergency Room.

An oral surgeon operated on my upper jaw doing a bone graft in preparation for an implant. Unfortunately, the procedure had to be undone as I developed a severe sinus infection. I am currently taking my 13 pill on a 21 day dosage and the infection appears to be gone, but I will finish the antibiotic as I definitely don't want it back.

I took Avelox for 14 days and still couldn't kick the sinus infection. I'm on another 20 day dose. I experienced NO side effects. Mad that I can't exercise.
