Doctor prescribed Avelox for Sinusitis. After the first 400 mg dose I had severe nausea, and later developed a severe headache, which I did not initially associate with the medication. It felt like a swelling of my right lobule, unlike the Sinusitis symptoms I had before. The second day on Avelox, the same side effects became more severe and included dizziness. I went back to the doctor and change ... Show Full Comment

I am on day 2 and all of my infection symptoms are gone. I am taking avelox and prednisone. I just developed facial rash and have had difficulty sleeping. Not sure which drug is causing this. Will monitor and may need to go off one or the other.

With that said, my CNS was compromised along with my brain, my muscular skeletal system and my kidneys. I experienced severe insomnia with nightmares and still have issues with my sleep. I was unable to complet ... Show Full Comment

Avelox has been very hard on me... I have taken it a number of times for sinus problems. The side effects include itching, eye sight issues, and tendon problems. I would not recommend this drug to everyone. Read the side effects before taking it... I think it should only be used as a last resort.
