I am a 2 month pregnant woman who suddenly had a rare type of stroke and then started to have seizures. I started using 400mg dilantin daily but because of the keflex antibiotic, it did nothing for me. I con't to have seizures and even a convulsive seizure. i'm now being weened off of dilantin and have been taking 1500mg keppra dailyand have been seizure free, but the mood swings, tirednes ... Seizures from brain tumor. Removed, but auras/seizures continued.On various meds never controlled. Recently taken off of dilantin which I had been on for 20 years. Now on Keppra 500 twice a day, Gabitril and Lamictal. No seizures unless I'm late taking meds, but occasional auras. Side effects awful and have not improved. I have an in-operable brain tumor, have had full blown radiation to the head and a full year of Temodar, and have to be on Keppra to maitain not seisuring again. I take 5000mgs a day. Makes me very lethargic most of the time. I see someone else said B6 might help? Also wondering if anyone elses Doctors have ever said they could reduce the amount they take, down the road of course.
