I am an egg donor for a fertility clinic so about the last week of my medications I start cetrotide. Immediately after I inject it does get a little red and itchy also a little swollen at times but nothing unbearable. It always goes away by morning. The drug works perfectly because being a donor I'm also on 2 other drugs that helps my eggs grow for the recipient. I would recommend this for anyone ...

I'm undergoing follicle stimulation for PGD. It does what it's meant to do, but is much less friendly than the Gonal-F I'm using in tandem. I get a painful, itchy hive at the injection site and a headache about an hour after injection. It is gone by morning, but a slight discomfort remains a day or 2 after; I have also bruised from the medicine. Creating the solution only takes a few minutes, but considering the emotional nature of its usage, it's quite nerve-wracking. I have 3 days left and can't wait to be off of this stuff.Read More Read Less

I'm unable to rate this medication's effectiveness as my first and only dose was just taken. Side effects: I immediately experience welts at the injection site, which then evolved into a very large swollen pouch. Being a RN, I realize that site reactions are the most common but this is very odd. I've outlined the site to assess any negative changes. At this point it doesn't seem to be absorbing, hopefully by morning the site will have cleared.
