I had my IUD inserted yesterday, the procedure would have been very quick if my doctor was able to find my cervix, but that is just an abnormal thing about me. Other than that it truly was painless, when she actually inserted the IUD. I am a virgin so when they open up your vagina that part is a little uncomfortable and a lot of pressure. When I went home I had slight period like cramps just took ... Show Full Comment

Im 19 and just got my mirena inserted earlier today. The insertion was very uncomfortable and the cramps are really bad for the first hour or two, but beyond that it has been fine. I just wanted to share my story: Due to a hard cervix, low pain tolerance, and a tendency to faint, my Mirena had to be placed under anesthesia. My doctor attempted to place it in her office, but it was just too painful! Anyone who has a decent pa ... Show Full Comment

I got on Lorena after my first pregnancy. Everything seemed ok and I never got pregnant while using themed. I started to feel moody after I went off my periods each month. A week after my period I felt as if I was coming on again. Towards the end when I had been on the same insert for about 3 1/2yrs I did not seem to have a libido. I felt these strange internal pains in my vagina. I finally reques ... Show Full Comment
