I had first heard about it when I was 7 months pregnant. I had researched it and luckily my insurance paid for the whole thing. I have had it for about 5 months now. I absolutely love it! I remember on the way to my ob/gyn I was so scared that it was going to hurt. I didnt feel a thing. I have been using Mirena for 15 months now and just LOVE IT! My periods have been drastically reduced to little flow and very mild cramps. It did take about 6+ months for my body to "regulate" itself with Mirena (lots of interim bleeding) but now, no issues. It was worth the wait! I am 39 with 2 children.

I had it put in a month ago. I haven't stopped bleeding since. I still have major cramping and pain shooting down my legs. I already have arthritis in my lower back and the back pain is severe. People at work and in my family have been questioning why I look so pale and sick all the time and this is the only thing I can think of that would be causing me to look sick all the time. The Mirena for me is like having your tubes tied without the actually procedure. I've had the Mirena for 8 months now and I currently have no problems. In the beginning there was abnormal bleeding for a while, but after my body adjusted I was fine.

I also have really bad back ache and cramping ive only had it for 3 weeks but my doctor knew that i have never had children before and she still allowed me to have mirena is it bad if ive never had kids before and have this contraceptive???? should i take it out because i do want to have kids someday
