    I have been having a problem with bleeding every time I have sex and it has become an issue. I have had the Mirena in for almost 5 yrs. I have seen my doctor about it and she said I shouldn't worry about it.How can I be with someone when I bleed every time?? I was wondering if anyone else has the same problem??? HELP

    I have had this in place since November 2007 and at first I was pleased and then a week or two went by! It was very painfull getting it inserted. I had my period for almost three months (light and then Heavy), I have gained about 35 pounds regardless I work out three times a week, I have serious abdominal pains including cramping, and My sex drive is almost gone.     Do your research before getting this device! I had it removed after 3 mos. because of the side-effects(weight gain,depression,joint pain,insomnia,acne,irritability). If I had seen these reviews, i would've never gotten it. I told my doctor about mood problems with birth control pills and was told this would not have the same effects(not true).     At first I loved it. Now that I has been in for about 3 months I am having nothing but problems, all the time. I get black an blue marks on my legs all the time.     Ithis is the 2nd time I have used it. After my first child I had really no complaints. This time around I have a lot of spotting. I bled for at least a month right after insertion.
