I started Cyclessa after I developed spotting after a year on my old oral birth control. The first few weeks were ok, although I continued to have spotting. The 3rd week of the pills I began to have horrible PMS (which I never have), very painful cramps, and migraine headaches. My period lasted more than 8 days. this pill has made me gain so much flippin weight it's not even funny anymore! i have ZERO energy, all i do is lay on the sofa all day long. I used to get my peppy butt out there and run 20 miles a week, but now all my flabby butt wants to do is watch tv... this SUCKS!! my dr started on something else... can't wait to get off this crap

This pill works very well except for WEIGHT GAIN. I have always been very active...running for an hour or more per day and lifting weights in addition to eating a very healthy diet. I didn't change my eating/exercise and still packed on 12 pounds within the first month and a half after starting Lutera. this medication has made me feel uncomfortable with myself, very emotional, tender breast all time, hot flashed. i could not handle all the side affects.

I have been on this pill for 6 years now. My body adjusted to it right away and the pain and terrible bleeding I suffered from before have disappeared.
