I took Aviane for about 2 years and was very satisfied with how it worked and made me feel. However, about two months ago, I went into the hospital with three large pulmonary emboli as a result of these pills. I am only 25 and very active and healthy. I would warn women that take Aviane to be very conscious of any swelling or pain anywhere in the body.

I've just finished the 3rd pack and for the most part, I'm satisfied. The first month and a half I was VERY nauseous and had pretty bad headaches. Friends also commented on a sudden increase in bitchy-ness (true friends would! haha) But all of those side-effects have gone away and I've lost 20lbs since I started taking it (& have not gained any back since the nausea ceased). I am going to be the oddball here and say that I like it. Every other pill I've taken has had too high of estrogen/progestin levels and gave me horrible side effects. This is the first pill that hasn't broken me out too horribly, made me a raging B!!ch or induced anxiety. Thank god for low dose !!!

I switched from this pill six months ago and hated the new ones, so I switched back to Aviane just two months ago, since the first time I was on it, I loved it. The second time around is a different story. I am terribly moody now, especially around the time of my period and I constantly feel hungry now. I'm not sure what the difference is from the first time I was on these pills, except tha ... Show Full Comment
