I have been on this about 3 months and so far I have been really depressed and tired all the time, I hate it. The first time I took the sugar pill I was in my room crying for 3 hours straight over NOTHING. I haven't gained any weight from it so thats a plus. But I wouldn't recommend this birth control. Can't wait to change birth controls!!

I have been taking this pill for about 5 months. I was put on this pill because I a) wanted birth control and b) my last kind wasn't working like it should've been. So far in 5 months I haven't had a period (which I'm supposed to), I've gained 10 pounds and I've been the same weight for about 6 years, I've had cramping every single day and I'm just totally unhappy w ... So far I have been using Microgestion Fe 1/20 for one month, and I have not had any problems! The first week I was a little more tired than usual, but since I have been fine. I actually felt better the week before my period, instead of groggy and moody like usual, and I currently started my first period since starting the pill, and it is much ligher, and my cramps have minimized EXTREMELY! I used ... Show Full Comment

I began taking Microgestin FE as a precaution to avoid getting pregnant. My boyfriend and I had talked about it, and we really wanted an extra form of birth control beyond condoms. So I went to planned parenthood and they gave me three packs of microgestin. The first pack I didn't notice too many symptoms...some increased emotional sensitivity here and there, but I've always been sensitive ... Show Full Comment

I have been on this birth control for 6 months now. I do not like it. I feel tired all the time and I have gained 16 lbs. I didn't change my diet or exercising when I gained the weight. I also have been breaking out really badly since I started this pill. I am starting a new one today, thank goodness.
