I love this birth control compared to previous pills. Was on a tricyclic birth control that left me with miserable monthly periods, horrible irritability and mood swings (you can ask my poor husband), and decreased sex drive-- which is certainly not the way in which I wanted it to prevent pregnancy!! I know that everyone reacts to medications differently. I am 31 and have decided it's time to start birth control pills. I started Microgestin on a Saturday. By Tuesday I was cramping worse than my already bad period cramps, was lightly bleeding, my back hurt, nausea, and diarhea. I actually do NOT have acne while on the active pills. It isn't until the week of my period that i get a pimple or two. I have been on a few different types of pills and so far this one has been the best. No headaches, no mood swings. I Normally dont like to leave bad reviews because every medication is bad for everyone. But this is my experience. I took this pill for the full month. in 2 days I am supposed to start a new pack but am most likely not going to. BIRTH CONTROL DOES AFFECT ANTI DEPRESSANTS! Thank YOU all for your feedback... ive read thru alot of personal experiences w/ this b.c. and its scary! My experience has been great tho... so far. Ive been on Microgestin Fe 1/20 for 3.5 weeks.
