Using (Rx) for both arthritis/joint damage and Peripheral Neuropathy. It works very well for me, both after things get painful, and as a preventative. It helps me avoid Ophiods, and is more effective, in my experience. Use exam gloves to apply, bought by the box-of-100 from auto parts stores. Use on foot and knee, usually not more than twice a day, although the literature says up to 4 times a da...

I have DDD at L5S1 and this creates deep throbbing pain in my low back, both hips and down my legs, primarily my left leg. Doctors initially prescribed me oxy and later moved me over to tramadol, claiming that tramadol was a synthetic opioid and not addictive. That ended up being 100% untrue. Diclofenac gel was prescribed along the way for knee pain. When I made the decision to get off all opioids I found that diclofenac gel was able to control the pain in my low back, hips, and legs without the addiction. It also helped when I was weaning off tramadol and had terrible leg pain that would come on when my dosage was reduced. Bottom line for me is, this medicine was a game changer for me. It allowed me to stop taking addictive pain meds and use this topical gel instead. I am so glad my doctor initially prescribed this for my pain. Even better is now it is available OTC too. I hope this is able to help you as much as it helped me.Read More Read Less

When I turned 60, my occasional-and-only-in-winter knee pain suddenly turned into a year 'round thing. I teach young children, and pride myself on being agile and active in the classroom, but when I heard a student say "why is he running like that?" I knew I had to do something. Capsaicin patches work great, but are unsightly with cargo shorts--my standard warm weather attire. While resignedly inspecting the same ol' selection of mass-marketed, menthol analgesic creams I knew wouldn't work, I asked the pharmacist for THE pain cream for my sore knees; something that wouldn't smell. He didn't even hesitate. He went to "the back," returned, and handed me this stuff. I realize it may not work for everybody, but it worked like magic for me. From reading some of the reviews here, I expect it may work for a good many people, but it sounds like there no middle ground: either it's reeeeeaaaally for you, or it's reeeeeeeeaaaaallly not. This medication has been a lifesaver for me. I suffer from degeneration of the sacral joint, which causes me a great deal of pain from time to time and inability to sleep. When it gets really bad, I just get up and apply this and I’m able to go to sleep finally without pain, I don’t need it as often as it is recommended just once at night periodically. I love the suggestion of applying it with a glove, so you’re not absorbing additional medication unnecessarily through your hands. Thank you for that pro tip!Read More Read Less

While this did help with my arthritis pain, I had a terrible allergic reaction with a rash all over my body. I would recommend caution if you have a history of allergies as I do before deciding to use this medication which my doctor prescribed but which also can be purchased over the counter. I would much have preferred to stay with my regular regimen than lose several days to this problem.

I have arthritis in both hands which can sometimes be painful. I use Diclofenac Sodium about three times per day and I don't feel the joint pain. I am not going to say it works for everyone, but it does for me.

Severe pain in the right angle and lower foot from arthritis. I tried shots which helped relieve 50% of the pain for a few months. Then my primary care doctor suggested Diclofenac Gel usage up to 4 times a day with 3-month blood testing for any possible bad changes, and my life changed completely after one day. I can walk and move normally without pain! Miracle drug for me.

I don't have to use as much as it says. It does work for me pretty good when I can't stand the pain. I try not to take to many meds. I'm on enough as it is.

I was prescribed it for my shoulder. It clearly says Do Not use on shoulder. Well it's a sodium medication and I believe that's why my blood pressure started getting higher and higher. I got very sick, my heart rate got up to 118. At one point I was having anxiety from my bp and heart rate being out of control. I was away from home and I had someone on stand by to call the local paramedics. I took 325 mgs aspirin and lay down in a cold room, drank water until I came around.

I'm an active and athletic old guy. Have bone on bone in my right knee and had a surgery about 50 years ago. My Surgeon wanted to do knee replacement surgery 2 years ago. I said no and that I wanted to wait as long as possible. Been using Aspirin, Ibuprofen, steroid injections and Hyaluronic acid injections until a few weeks ago. Then I tried this. Nothing has come close to working this well for me. Don't need near as much as they say and I just apply it to the tender areas. My knee hasn't felt this good since 2019. Read More Read Less

Life saver! I lived for years with pain from JRA,RA and osteoarthritis untreated until a few years ago in my 40s This works in minutes. I'll use on my shoulder or something else here or there. I use it once or twice a day. The months between my gel shots

I have neuropathy in my feet and I have tried every kind of over the counter creams and nothing worked. So I went to see my Ortho dr and he suggested it. I buy the over counter and it is amazing. It doesn’t feel medicated so you might think it won’t work. But I rub it into my feet really good then put on a pair of cotton socks. Then within an hour they feel better.

My neck has gotten progressively stiffer with increasing pain for several years. I have had Ankalosing Spondilitus since before 2005. Acupuncture was the only relief I could get until using Diclofenac topical, which is less expensive and time consuming

Used it on my painful shoulder. Next morning I woke so extremely dizzy I couldn’t stand to walk. After speaking with a customer service Rep she advised me Voltaren topical should NOT BE applied on shoulders. I felt like I was having a Stroke. Very scared. I use it on my knees and it is effective.

I was given this for pain due to a torn spring ligament in my foot. With Covid, my surgery kept being postponed but the pain was horrible. This has helped tremendously and has kept me from using the narcotics they also prescribed. I also put it on my sciatica pain and it works within minutes.

I used this gel on my shoulder that has a torn rotator cuff and the gel burned my skin so bad, and it didn't even help with the pain.
