I have recently been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia. Hydrocodone has, so far, been the only medication that has worked so well for my pain. I have all-over pain, so no specific pain releiver/killer will work. First time usage of this medication following above the knee amputation. The most dreaded side effect is constipation, a condition I've seldom encountered prior to the surgery.

On Christmas Eve, I dislocated my knee and was sent to the emergency room. It was swollen up to about the size of a grapefruit. I was in more pain then than I was when I broke my foot.
