I've had prescriptions for Lortab, Darvocet and Ultram for back pain. Lortab works great, as Ultram does also, but not Darvocet. Hydrocodone can be addictive though, so use caution when taking it. I haven't really had any adverse effects from it, besides a tingling sensation and a little bit of itching (neither bother me though).

I have taken hydrocodone off and on for many years. I have two degenerated Lumbar discs and one that is herniated. I was perscribed this for pain after a surgery(kidney). It made it worse. My lower back hurt so bad i went to the emergency room. they then told me to see my reg. dr. Spoke to my reg dr, and she said to stop use, and try to flush from my system. Took tylenol the rest of the day drank a gallon of water, and am now back to work. Has this happened to anyone else?
