I have been taking this medication for years on and off for low back pain and hip pain and knee pain. Why does it seem that it takes more than what the Dr. has percribed to help me. All though I dont like depending on pills to help me this does work. It also makes me stay awake to do the things I need to do. Im happy I finally have found a Dr. thats not afraid to help me manage my pain.

used it for post op rotator cuff repair. once i adjusted the dosage down{one pill from two q hrs} it did great. with higher dosage i had dizziness, 'out of it symptoms. i saw 3 tvs instead of one!

I have been taking Norco 10/325 for about 6-7 years for severe arthritis pain and it works very well for me. After all this time my dosage has not changed very much, I have been through every NSAID ever made plus biologics ans steroids and nothing has helped me as much with the least amount of side effects. I have been taking Norco 10/325 for about 6-7 years for severe arthritis pain and it works very well for me. After all this time my dosage has not changed very much, I have been through every NSAID ever made plus biologics ans steroids and nothing has helped me as much with the least amount of side effects. I have however encountered more than my share of doctors who fear prescribing for pain patients and do not understand that we are not all prone to addiction and some of us just need to use this MEDICINE to absorb our pain so we can function somewhat normally and nothing else. My rheumetologist preferred prescribing prednisone to pain meds and I was on that for over three years, now after menopause I am left wondering if my bones will turn to dust. Why are pain meds worse??? There definitely needs to be more understanding and less "CYA" in the medical community about chronic pain patients. I have friends who have been through the same thing and there are us people out there who benefit greatly (many on this forum!) from a regualar regimen of opiods without "getting high". I personally find instead of drowsiness I am actually more awake because I am not in debilitating pain. Those of you in the same position, just know you are not alone and that you need to find a doctor that will listen to your individual needs. When my old GP retired, I had trouble getting the new one to understand at first, but then she realized from my records what I'd already been through and what was coming and actually realized I would be better off with something that works for me than in pain. Just hold your head up and keep "interviewing" until you find someone that treats you and not your parts.
