I started taking this drug two years ago when I broke my hip,after giving birth at age 36. If it wasnt for this drug I would not have been able to function at all. I had total hip replacement seven months ago and still take this med for lingering pain mostly at night. Even if I run out of my script early or try to stop, it is allmost imposible to tolarate the withdraw that happens to the body! But ... Show Full Comment

After a yr. on this 5/500 I got scared because I wanted more and it wasn't working as well. I went to a pain mgmt. doctor who gave me steroid shots, caudal epidurals, in my lower back. I was able to get off this drug. It depressed me, made me anxious. Get pain management doctor to give you shots, they put you out in the office and it was an answer to my prayers. it got rid of my pain, i actully felt like a normal person and wanted to live again, i didnt realize how much pain i was in until i started the medication, but for some strange reason my doctor took me off of it and know i go through hell everyday i dont understand why it is that if a man is pain he can get the medicine but i cant why
