Very unhappy, cost is $300.00, prohibitive to purchase, what good is a drug on the market if the average joe cannot afford to purchase it? I must suffer knowing there is something that could help but I cant have it!

so i used to use denavir before the price went over $800 for a small tube. i found penciclovir to be the generic brand, just got mine at Safeway for $146 using goodrx hope it works as well.

I've been using this for outbreaks about twice a year for many years. It works quickly as I notice symptom relief within the first 24 hours. It is a little goopy so it can be challenging to apply and not get all over your face. However, as a previous reviewer mentioned, it is not inexpensive. My doctor prescribed some for me today and the pharmacy called to let me know insurance wouldn't cover it (since when???) and the price was $800. OTC treatments don't work for me so I guess I'll just have to suffer through these outbreaks for weeks at a time for the rest I've my life.Read More Read Less
