I have been on this medication for 6 years. I started out on premarin, and had headaches, with nervousness. Doctor tried me on Clamira 0.05mg. And it was wonderful. Made me feel like my old self again. I like the idea of taking a low dose of hormone. And this one of the lowest they make. Plus no pill to take. Change patch once a week and I'm good to go. Be sure when you put it on that you rub for ...

Hello..I have not even begun to take my hrt..i was prescribed the pill, premarin cream and the patch..not all to be used of course. I am very leery about using any H rt. It seems there Re so many dangers. Breast cancer, stroke, heart attack. I do have all the menopausal symptoms. I have 1 remaining ovary. I'm also on a weight loss program. And as bad as it sounds I do not want to gain any weight. ...

I started the patch on .075 for only 4 weeks and I started to spot than a week later it turned into a full period without stopping for 2 weeks now. Before putting this patch on I hadn't had a period for 2 year's. The Dr. Is changing my dose to the .05 we will see what happens. The good news is my hot flashes did go away but not sure if this is all worth it?

I switched from oral estradiol and progesterone about a year ago at age 59 to the Climara patch. It seemed to work just fine helping with hot flashes, vaginal pain, irritability, and low mood. My last refill was the very large, thick, Mylan patch. The last few weeks Ive noticed a concerning return of all those symptoms. I just emailed my doctor to request switching back immediately. I hope they will do that for me. My quality of life is noticeably lower.

The Mylan patch frequently does not stick. I am wasting about 1 out of 4 patches per month. I follow the instructions, wash the area and even use alcohol for a better stick. Alas, it still buckles and peels off. When it does adhere, I get pretty good relief from the vaginal dryness and hot flashes. But this product is defective as far as the adherence goes. And why the euphemism? My symptoms are related to menopause, not the “Change of Life”.

The patches are not easy to apply like Estradot and Climara. The packaging is annoying as is trying to get the patch off the backing without touching it.

Due to supply and demand, I was unable to go ahead and continue my liquid estradiol. OB/GYN‘s office has been saying for the last 18 months that it’s unavailable and I cannot obtain it from any pharmacy. I went to another hormone doctor, and she prescribed the patch. the first two months I use the Sandos version smallest dosage to start. My post menopausal night sweats and brain fog began to dissipate. My doctor upped the dosage slightly because my symptoms had not completely gone away. Then, I went to get my third month dosage, and nobody in the Salt Lake Valley had the patch except one pharmacy. When I went to go pick it up, it was a different brand Mylan. I could live with the patches being a bit larger maybe the size of the end of my thumb, admittedly, at first, it was difficult to put on an adhere to my skin. But that’s not the worst of it. I have been experiencing severe hives and rash in all different parts of my body not where the patch is. It’s driving me crazy and keeping me up at night. I am literally breaking out in hives, all over my body legs stomach back my scalp is itchy .After all of the reviews, I am going to be moving on with a different brand. this is a terrible product and I agree with some of the reviews the FDA should be inspecting it and it should be removed off the market! Hormone replacement therapy seems to be a joke in this country, trying to find any pharmacy that will fill it. They constantly want to push the pills. Read More Read Less

I had a hysterectomy at age 32 because of severe bleeding each month. I’m 79 now and have been taking hormone therapy all of these years. For many of those years I took Premarin, but for the last 8 years I’ve been using a lower dose patch. I will say I’ve fallen four times in the last three years and have not broken a bone. It has made me look younger and feel younger than many of my peers.

The estradiol 17b patch does not adhere well resulting in it falling off or curling up. I used band-aids to secure it however, it still curls up and is not secure. Looking forward to when supply of Estrodot is back on the market .

Very effective. Never had an issue with the patch coming off, stays in place and very small. I’ve been on it for about a year and a half and no longer have hot flashes. They were very intense before I started this medication. The huge downside was gaining 15 pounds in a year that I cannot lose no matter what I do, that alone makes me want to stop.

Had to switch to Sandoz due to shortage of Climara, like that it is changed twice a week, as I found the Climara did not last a week and by day 5 was getting symptoms again due to it bubbling, and not sticking as well. Both are HEMIHYDRATE estradiol which I came to find out makes a huge difference in effectiveness as this is a stronger estradiol. Before Sandoz was switched to Estradot and it is regular estradiol 17B and immediately noticed the difference in symptom relieve, ensure when switching it is the same estradiol as my pharmacist wasn't even aware of ths. The smaller Estradiol patch works great, Ive used it for years- generic for Vivelle-dot.. Recently my pharmacy gave me the older version with the really large thick patch. It caused horrible itching and a rash. Im going to go back to the small thin version.. Both are made by Mylan interestingly.

My doctor prescribed the estradiol 0.1mg patch for me and the medication and dose has completely made my menopausal symptoms go away. However! The pharmacy had to fill my prescription with a generic brand Mylan. I tried the once weekly Mylan dose and the patch was huge and started itching me like crazy! So I had my doc change it to the twice weekly patch and again the pharmacy filled it with the Mylan brand. It was much smaller and at first it was ok. But now that I am several months in I'm having a terrible time with it. The spot of the patch becomes severely irritated, blood red and itches like crazy! Even after removing the patch the spot takes forever to heal, so my entire abdomen has red dry spots from where I have been using the patch in different places. I have finally found a pharmacy that will fill my prescription with Sandoz brand so I'm hoping for a better outcome. Fingers crossed.Read More Read Less

I originally had Sandoz but my pharmacy switched me to Mylan. I have noticed a return of some symptoms and my energy levels decreased after several weeks. The patch stays on but does not seem to bind to my skin as securely as the Sandoz. I have requested to switch back. I appreciate other people posting this same concern that helped me confirm my experience is likely the recent switch. I also am not a fan of the writing (brand name) printed on the adhesive.

I got my life back after a couple of weeks being on this dose (.05) of the Estrodiol patch. Menopause symptoms subsided and I feel like my young self again. I learned about this option from Dr Barbie Taylor on YouTube. So glad to know it helps to prevent long-term diseases such as Alzheimer’s, heart disease, and osteoporosis as well as the symptoms of menopause. Very happy with this patch. Only downside was remembering when to change it bc I forget it’s even there, but I’ve set a twice-weekly alarm on my phone now.Read More Read Less

I found this patch to be worthless. Stuck to my skin for less than 24 hours over multiple tries. Caused skin irritation. No benefit. Wouldn't recommend.

I was on Dotti 0.05 after switching from tablets, and my levels dropped. But I wasn't too worried, it was basically "let's up the dose, and it'll be ok". If only. Upon switching to a different patch with a higher dose, for longer wear.... It STILL dropped. The manufacturer in question is Mylan. Mylan, your generic patch dropped my levels. It refused to stay, no matter what I did. sweat would build under it. It would come off in the shower. Taping it should've helped but it didn't. Mylan, your patches are terrible, and you need to make it right by your customers. I'm switching back to tablets because you have RUINED patches for me. I'm now terrified of anything going wrong ever again with them. I can't afford anything else. How can my T levels be almost DOUBLE 3 months after a hormone level test and medication switch, and my E levels be LOWER, with double blockers and a higher patch dose of 0.075mg instead of 0.5? Mylan, that's how. Thank you for ruining my 2nd E-versary. Read More Read Less
