It's caused my period to be very irregular and very heavy with a LOT of blood clots. It's also causing severe itching that woke me up at night and kept me from getting sleep. I thought it ... This is the second bcp I've taken the first was a mess, had my period for two months straight. I would almost rather that, with this pill I'm soo moody all the time, i have cramps that feel like contractions almost every day and i get the worst migraines. Plus the bleeding is HEAVY for a full week. i go through almost a whole box of tampons and pads for one period.

Is there anyone out there taking this at age 40 something and up with problems? This ... Show Full Comment

I was happily on Aviane for 2 or 3 years, and switched mindlessly when my pharmacist asked if I wanted to try it for some reason (they weren't stocking Avaine anymore? They changed names?). Either way I wish I had said no, these past 3 months on this pill have been miserable. I start having PMS symptoms a week after my period. I bloat up so much that I can't button my pants, I am violent a ... Show Full Comment
