I have an ileostomy, so everything goes right through me. I hardly absorb anything. This medicine works really well. It doesn't make me sleepy or dizzy and it takes the edge off the pain. I've had the generic, and I like it a little bit better. The generic tastes a little bit better. It may just be me, but when I take a dose my throat feels warm.... Kinda like when you take a shot. Hope this helps

This med is used for break through pain, I also use Fentanal patches 125. Nothing seems to work were you feel normal. It takes the pain away about 70%. There is still the other 30% lingering.

I am satisified with the effectiveness of roxicodone, but only the brand name type. Many of the generics do not work nearly as well, and the cost is minimal for the difference it makes in my being able to get up and get around, and fully participate in life without feeling doped up.
