I recently had a tubal ligation and between the effects of anesthesia and pain killers I hadn't had a BM in 4 days. My stomach has been horribly bloated with the trapped gas from the surgery and this wasn't helping. I didn't want to wait for this to possibly get worse and cause more pain. I got dulcolax today after reading through forums where people had said it helped them. I took ... Show Full Comment

It works within 30 minutes for me. I take 2 pills. I get cramp but it cleans up very well. I feel very light and comfortable afterward. My husband and I use it once a week on the weekend.

Took 1 pill at bedtime. Took about 10 hours to work and had to use the bathroom at work all day. That was fun. 24 hours later my stomach is still gurgling, but it did help me get cleaned out. Feel much better. I would take it again if necessary., but over a weekend.

I had such severe pains before I took the drug, that any pain from it was inconsequential. It took about 15 hours to work, but I am pleased with the result.
