I was using the bathroom on a frequent basis and by taking this medication it has reduced the activity by 75%. This was a perfect match for me.

I started taking 2mg a day about a year ago. It started out ok, but then it's effectivness seemed to wane. Dosage was increased to 4mg at my one year checkup and results were much improved. No more urgency, weak stream, etc. BUT, and here's my problem, after about 3 months, sympthoms are all back. It seems like I build up an immunity to it. No side effects at all.

Constant urination especially at night. I take 4mg in the am, and 4mg, at night and still sleep only two hours before it's time to urinate once again. Seems to work OK during the day,( most of the time) but definitely not at bed time !! WHY???? Blood test shows all is within normal range, and liver function is normal.... Prostate, slightly enlarged, or so I was told... Tommygee913@msn.com

2mg at bedtime since July 2007. It has pretty much eliminated the night-time urge to urinate anda the stream is usually pretty steady sometimes a bit weak. I've seen no real improvement in BP which has stayed around 140/85. Sometimes I wake up in the middle of the night feeling as if blood is pounding through my body. Anyone else experiencing this? It's a little scary but with a few deep breat
