I was diagnosed with Factor V Leiden Mutation (which is genetic) after developing a DVT from foot surgery. Although I test at home, it is difficult to maintain the INR results (between 2 and 3) I am on 8.5mg daily. On med after aortic valve replacement. Took about 2 months to stabilize INR 2.5-3.0. I try to eat 80-120 micrograms of Vitamin K a day. I keep brocoli, asparagas or green onions on hand to add to my dinner. a few times, I have had a 1/4 cup of brocoli before bed to maintain this level.
