I went to the doctor because I was at the end of my rope. I felt like I was in prison. I haven't been able to lose weight since the birth of my child 8 yrs. ago. I had my gall bladder removed 1 1/2 yrs ago. Having that removed caused more complications, not being able to eat a normal portion of food without it causing massive stomach pains and the runs.. This prescription works very well, but it does effect your sleep patterns. If you can learn to change the way you eat you can take this for 3-6 months and loss weight then get off of it and maintain.

I have been taking it for 2.5 months now and I have recently began to experience pounding heart, shortness of breath, and I have totally loss my interest in sex. I am going to tell my doc this week because although I have lost 17 lbs, I dont know if the marriage issues are worth it. Maybe he will perscribe me something else.

I have taken phentermine now for 5 weeks and I have lost 25 pounds. I wasn't severely overweight but I needed to lose my baby weight. It makes me generally happy, my energy levels have risen and it makes excercise much more enjoyable. The only side effect that I really experience is cotton mouth. I have taken this drug before with great results lost 80 lbs. Only side effect I have noticed is dry mouth, I have to keep a bottle of water with me at all times.
