Yes this helps with urine flow, that is about it. Here is the amazing part. At the generic price of $204./30 days, the cost of the ingredient is.... $17.50 /mg $17500.00/gram $7,936,250.00/lb, yes folks almost 8 million dollars for a pound. For that you could get 413.35 lbs of gold Illicit drug dealers are selling the wrong stuff on the street, a kilo of this goes for $17,500,000., yes 17...

My Father was prescribed this horrible medication. He took it for 3 days and then ended up in the Hospital for AFib. Thank God that his Primary Cardiologist stopped it. The Hospital Staff kept giving it to him despite me telling them about the effects after his use. It could have killed my Dad. Take it off the market

Destroyed completely my ability to ejaculate. Already lost on testicle from cancer. Also have low testosterone. I choose to simply suffer, dealing with my urinary symptoms, than have this medication blow my sexual satisfaction completely out of the water!

I have been taking Flomax 0.4 mg for a few months now to help with what the Doctors figure was an enlarged prostate, causing extra trips to the bathroom over night. But after some time now I feel it doesn't seem to be helping any more. One thing I noticed but was not sure was I seemed to be falling asleep frequently while watching the noon news, supper news, any evening program and any movie. It was unreal but I never actually tied the sleeping part to any drug. I thought it was just something happening the older I got. Then I missed my flomax for a couple mornings and I seemed more alert and awake. But back on the Flomax again, and the falling asleep returned. It got to one point where I feel asleep at the wheel while driving, crossed the center line with on-coming traffic. The wife luckily was awake and noticed I was not steering back into my lane so she yelled at me. Woke me up, and I quickly pulled back into my lane. Scared as hell, but at least I did not over-react to the driving part. This happened on June 4/23 and after taking myself off the Flomax drug I am back to myself, falling asleep only when I should, at bedtime. I can drive into the city and back with no issues. But now I got to thinking, how many other people may be on this drug and are falling asleep at the wheel of the vehicle and causing head on collisions or single vehicle roll overs? You hear on the news about head-on collisions or single vehicle roll overs where driving conditions were perfect. Well maybe not totally. If an autopsy was done, whould they find Flomax in their system? They may be like me, not actually realizing that the Flomax is the culprit. I choose to discontinue my Flomax for safety and if I need to get up in the middle of the night 5 or 6 times compared to 4 or 5 times, who cares!!! But honestly someone should check into this, and get the news out about this drug or get doctors to check with those using it, if they are frequently just falling asleep, it could be a matter of life and death! I have a doctor's appointment coming up and I will discuss this with him soon. And maybe after an unexplained vehicle accident, maybe they should be checking their system for Flomax. I have read over the information on flomax and no where does it say it could cause severe sleepiness and or death from a vehicle accident. Could some one please follow up on this, I can't be the only one having these issues.Read More Read Less

The Flowmax I was taking was a 0.4 mg dosage. It seemed to make very little difference to the amount of times I got up to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night. The problem I found was I was falling asleep, as if a switch got turned off and it didn't matter whether it was noon, evening or later at night. The SCARIEST PART, and I speak from experience is that even when I was driving I was noticing i was falling asleep. This last time (June 4/23), I fell asleep while driving and the wife screamed at me as I was already across the center line with a vehicle coming towards us. I pulled back in and got back on track and everything was good once again. But we had to work at keeping me awake the rest of the way home. I checked my medications and narrowed it down to the FLOMAX as to when I started to notice problems of sleeping all the time. I immediately quit taking the drug and as of today both of us have noticed a major change in my behavior. As of June 12, we were back int he city again and this time I had no problem with staying awake at the wheel. I can once again watch a complete news story, watch a full TV show, and even watch a full movie and not fall asleep. So people on this drug should be made aware that if they are falling asleep unexpectedly that they should check with their doctor immediately as it is not their fault that they are continuing to fall asleep. And better yet, get off this drug, as it might be a matter of life and death. Makes a person wonder when they is a head on collision or a single vehicle rollover etc, that it may possibly be that the person feel asleep at the wheel. All I can say for me, is that I got lucky and with that one chance realized I had to do something fast. And as of today, I feel a lot better for it. But I felt i needed to let someone know that FLOWMAX could be a deadly car accident waiting to happen.Read More Read Less

I have been using generic Flomax for over 2 years to treat BPH. I adapted to the medication quickly, however, I did have incident early on that got my attention. When I got out bed, during the night, to urinate, I got up too quickly, lost my balance, fell and split my lip. Take your time adapting tot he side effects. When I was being evaluated for cataract surgery I told the ophthalmologist that I was taking Flomax and was concerned about the documented side effect. He informed me that based on recent research I did not need to stop taking Flomax prior to cataract surgery. My urologist confirmed this and we glad to learn that ophthalmologists were becoming better informed. About six months ago my urologist determined that I am a good for prostate artery embolization (PAE). I ahd the procedure about 3 month s ago. It is a miracle! I plan to consult with my urologist to find out if or when I can stop Flomax use. Read More Read Less

Here are my observations from taking Flomax for 6 months or so and then going off it for a week to see the difference. I am a 56 year old male with moderately enlarged prostate and no history of prostate diseases. The good: reduced my frequency of urinating at night from 4-5 to 1-2 times. Also eliminated the feeling of always having to go. The bad: little to no libido, little to no semen production during ejaculation during sex, and as others have stated, a chronic stuffy nose that doesn't go away no matter how much nasonex or afrin you use. I ended up going back on it, so I could get some sleep. I guess it's worth it if you're up all night peeing.Read More Read Less

Flomax almost killed me. It caused rapid heartbeat and sudden syncope twice in my case. This happened when I suddenly fainted and dropped hard on hard tiles on kitchen floor hurting my head and nick few hours after taking the medication, and another time in the shower causing body bruises. Just imagine experiencing sudden syncope while driving to work on a major highways, I would have lost my life. I was admitted to hospital for checkups to see if my syncope was related to something else and stayed for 34 hrs costing me close to $43,500!!!. I was told my syncope was caused by Flomax and nothing else as heart, lungs, and brain were just fine. I would never have taken this medication had I known it causes these side effects. NEVER AGAIN. Please don't take it. Read More Read Less

I’m 18 and was given this junk (Tamosulin (generic of Flomax)) to relax my urinary muscles to make future stones easier to pass. This medication has destroyed my quality of life, I have always had dizziness and cluster headaches from being anemic, this medicine just makes everything worse. I’m constantly dizzy and clammy. And as soon as I started taking it I’ve had a constant tingling feeling in my left leg, my kidney stones were in the right side, so I’m very confused on how my left side is messed up. The tingling is all in my groin and leg and is causing me to be so uncomfortable at school, work, and night trying to sleep. I can’t sleep on this. I also have to pee WAY more after taking this. Every 30-60 minutes. Very annoying at school. I also have zero sex drive. I would rather just pass another kidney stone than take this junk. At least kidney stone pains and problems aren’t going to last as long or be as hellish as this medication. As of this morning, it’s evening now, I stopped taking it, I feel less tingly in my leg but the damn headache and dizziness is still there. Read More Read Less

This stuff does nothing except cause negative side effects. I was recently prescribed it for bladder retention, weak urine stream, dribbling, excessive urination. I noticed someone else posted they were having success with it until their pharmacy started giving them a generic version marked D 53. Mine are marked D 53. There was no improvement in my urine stream at all. Symptoms remained unchanged. After day 3 on it I started having problems staying asleep. I also have Sleep Apnea and use a CPAP. Dry mouth, dry crusted sinuses, not good because I also have asthma. Headaches, muscle twitching, and chills on day 5. Going to try Saw Palmetto Extract until I can get back to the Urologist. This doctor spent 5 minutes with me and made a diagnosis of BPH solely on my not being able to completely empty my bladder before an ultrasound. He did no other tests nor did he even do a physical examination. Just prescribed this poison and out the door you go!Read More Read Less

When I first started using flomax it was okay I started urinating normal I didn't have the drip drip after urinating I had a complete stream. After taking the medication for 2 months I have found that I have been experiencing headaches, very little to no semen when ejaculation occurs, poor orgasms my blood pressure dropped to an all-time low where I was about to pass out, and experiencing nausea loss of weight severely loss of appetite unable to concentrate putting me on edge where I just feel very irritated most of the time and severe itchiness. Wake up several times throughout the night fully awake and unable to go back to sleep severe runny and stuffy nose like I have allergies and I have never had allergies in my life. This is terrible I am 51 years old and I feel like I can deal with the drip drip drip instead of all these side effects. I guess I'll just need to have to stand there a little longer and shake it a little more. I decided to stop taking the medication and I will update my review, today is the 14th of June 2022 and I will let you all know how I feel in the next few days. Thank youRead More Read Less

I have been on Flomax for about 2 weeks and it works good for me. I drink and urinate more. Worried about side effects and reluctant to use the product but I tried it after having stones and it has been fantastic. Sexual side effects and dizziness not there at all.

I have been taking this for 7 years now and I am 62. My doctor increased it to 2 a day and it worked for a while until Rite Aid started using a different 0.4mg generic capsule with a D 53 on it and ever since I have had problems urinating again and wake up 4 to 5 times a night with very low amounts of urine. I also noticed like many other men that no semen comes out when having sex with my girlfriend and I experience almost no orgasm.

I had taken this for several years and it didn't do the job so my doctor told me I could take Finasteride along with the Flomax, neither one is doing the job.
