I live in Utah and have allergies especially from the fields and hay. Last year I started to have horrible pain in my ears and sore throat. After going to Ear,nose doc twice he finally found a hole in my left ear. No Medication worked. The wise doctor painted the area in my ear with Gentian Violet and by the next day, no pain. I am 51 years old and have used this product all my life for: mouths sores, scraped knees and minor cuts it dries your affected area fast, therefore heal faster.

Our doctor prescribed this for our daughter who had scraped her knee, got mud in it and healed over only to have infection inside. We used as directed and it healed beautifully. Since then we have used it for cuts on our children and us as well. I even used it for a brown recluse spider bite. It healed up beautifully. It stains but most can be removed with rubbing alcohol.

doctor said I had a wart on ball of foot. gave me gentian violet to put on for 10 days. no effect. sanded top of wart down as directed on bottle and applied again one time. area went into nerve shock to 7 hours. could not stop it. wart was a flat callus (biopsy). web sites say permanent nerve damage my occure when applied to open wound.
