I love this med. No side effects of any kind and for the first time in years I'm sleeping again without all the leg crap going on. One other thing I did notice with this drug and have been wondering about. I have been disabled with depression for over 8yrs, about a month after starting this med I noticed that I'm happy alot now and that I just don't feel so depressed. Am starting t ... Iam 59 yrs old. Female. Does anyone know if this medicine cause weight gain? It is great for rls, & I sleep at night, but I have gained about 15 lbs.

For the first week ropinerole helped.Than it's effectiviness slowly decreased, I am now taking it 6x /day: 3am - 1mg,6am-0.75mg, i0am-0.50 mg, 3pm-0.50mg,11pm 0.75 mg, The mayor problem is it's high price. I ALSO HAVE Parkinson's disease and take Sinemet 25/100,5 tablets/day.This combination has helped the RLS. But a constant tingling remains when I sit down or lay down. But the painf ... I had a sleep study and found out I have RLS and was started on this medication then. I sleep good now without waking up. It was a life saver for me. I am also on a c-pap machine.

Seems that my RLS is worse and occurs earlier in the day. Also, I am experiencing insomnia.
