Since having my son 4 years ago will say that I have gotten BV over a dozen times. It is the most awful odor ever. Also the discharge is heavy and annoying. I usually take the Antibiotics which is a 10 day treatment twice a day which is followed usually by a yeast infection. I have an overgrowth of gardnerella so my dr prescribed this medication to use for 5 nights. The only side effect I had was diarrhea on day 4. However, this drug didn't do anything for me at all and we're not sure why.
