lamotrogine has been very helpful for my manic and depression symptoms. although it took awhile for full effectiveness (I've been on it for 18mos. now). After the first 6mos. I had some difficult life changes that challenged my stability (quitting my job, relocating to my hometown to take care of my parents, and having to stand my ground & set boundaries w/my parents). I have been in a black hole for almost a year. I asked my pdoc if we could try Lamotrigine. I have been taking 100mg for 4 months and I feel wonderful. I feel like I have been given a gift. The gift of peace with myself and the world around me.
