lamotrogine has been very helpful for my manic and depression symptoms. although it took awhile for full effectiveness (I've been on it for 18mos. now). After the first 6mos. The only reason I gave this med a low ease of use score is the slow dosage build up. It takes a long time to reach the theraputic dose. I did so well on this med -- no side effects and felt so normal. After about 6 great months, I started thinking that I was just so ok ... and that the bi-polar stuff was all in my mind and a missdiagnosis by the doctor.

I have been in a black hole for almost a year. I asked my pdoc if we could try Lamotrigine. I have been taking 100mg for 4 months and I feel wonderful. I feel like I have been given a gift. The gift of peace with myself and the world around me.
