Hate it, hate it, hate it. It made me feel dead inside. I am weaning off now (have gone from 300 mg. to 150 mg.) and will try Lexapro. I had absolutely no libido and I started abusing alcohol. Would not recommend this drug to anyone.

I HAVE A COMMENT AND A QUESTION FOR OTHER READERS. I HAVE TAKEN EFFEXOR XR AND HAVE BEEN VERY, VERY SATISFIED. HOWEVER, I AM ABOUT TO LOOSE MY COVERALGE AND NEED TO CONVERT TO THE GENERIC VENLAFAXINE. HAS ANYONE CHANGED FROM EFFECOR TO THE GENERIC? ANY NOTICABLE DIFFERENCES? PLEASE ADVISE. THANK YOU.
