I am 49 yrs young, had a total hysterectomy and oopherectomy 5 days ago. Started taking 2mg at night the day after surgery. I have severe night sweats, headache and not able to sleep. I am stopping this right now!! There has to be something out there that has no side effects!!

After having uterus and ovaries removed, I immediately started 1mg daily of estradiol. Felt great - no ill effects at all - have been on it for approx. 20 years. Recently my doctor reduced my dose to half and I will stop taking it altogether in a week or so (not sure why). My hair is already thinning and I am having difficulty sleeping. Not looking forward to what lies ahead.
