My ob/gyn put me on this medication after taking out my IUD (mirena). I had the mirena for about 6 years and the last couple of years were pretty bad. So, I decided to change birth control method, so I got the Microgestin FE 1.5/30 prescribed. I have recently started taking Microgestin, and so far I am not convinced that this birth control is fit for me. I am 5'3 and only 103 pounds so the dosage of the birth control may be too strong for my body's liking. I was on Microgestin for a year and 4 months. For some reason my doctor prescribed Gildess the past two months and its been terrible. Id say overall for me personally, Microgestin is a winner. Its very effective in the birth control area which unfortunately means my fun parts have been alittle dry since being on Microgestin.
