I only take it every other day - been on it for about 4 years. Was able to control the hot flashed and night sweats with OTC for about a year but then I could not take it anymore. I could not survive without this. Have tried to stop it twice to see if I was past night sweats and hot flashes but they came roaring back. I have not had any side effects but have gained weight which can be from menopau ... Show Full Comment

Decided to take this med after severe hot flashes, agitation and anxiety. Felt better after a week.Period came back after 3rd week...not happy about this, still spotting after a week of heavy bleeding...will consult with MD if this continues. Will continue taking if spotting is tolerable... Will keep you posted...

I was having extreme mood swings, crying at the drop of a hat, unable to stop,very depressed in the mornings especially not sleeping, hot flashes, etc from menopause. Taking this medication has helped greatly. I'm sleeping through the night, the mood swings are stable,depression about gone, some slight flashes, mostly mornings. Have not had my period for 4 months but I was having hot flashes with heart palpitations that was worse at night and kept waking me up at least 15 times a night I was also having night sweats. I went to my OBGYN and she put me on low dose prempro almost immediately it took away the hot flashes but I still get on occasion night sweats.
