MY SON TOOK THIS FOR 3 YEARS. AT THE START OF TAKING THE MED EVERYHTING WAS GREAT, WE COULDNT UP THE DOSE TO WHAT HE ACTUALLY NEEDED BECAUSE IT MADE HIM TO SLEEPY AND HE COULDNT STAY AWAKE IN SCHOOL. IT SEEMS AS IF HIS BODY ADJUSTED TO THE MED VERY WELL NO BAD SIDE EFFECTS JUST IN TIME IT SEEMED AS IF IT WASNT HELPING ANYMORE. HE HASNT TKEN IT IN 3 DAYS AND I ACTUALLY SEE HIM ALOT CALMER NOW. My 6 year old daughter has been on this medication for the last 3 months. We switched after being unhappy with the side effects of focalin & methyl phenidate, which both helped her focus in school but took away her wonderful personality. I have never written a review on anything, but I feel so passionately about this, that I must share my information... My son, who is ten now, has been on guanfacine for quite some time (2 yrs) after running the gamit of medicines...
