I have episodes of severe itching on feet, legs, arms, and body. I was presribed Atarax
25-50 mg every six hours as need. I find taking on 50mg in evening stops the itching.
Nothing else has work like this drug to stop the intense itching. Drug does seem to make me tired the next day but I can live with that.

Made me feel drowsy so I only take it @ night. The residual effects help me remain calm throughout the next day & the itching isn't quite as severe.

I had epilepsy as a child. Seizure free for 16 years. I had a grand mal seizure I believe was caused by this medication. I only had petit mal seizures in childhood.
