My 5 month old son went to the Dr. for Fever and possiable Strep throat. We gave him one dose of this med. and 6 hrs later we were in the ER. He had severe bloody diareah and throwing up. We will NEVER give this to him again. The Dr. said the Cefdinir was not the cause and we don't believe it since these are some of the side effects! We are now waiting on some additional tests down on my sons ... Show Full Comment

My 5yr.daughter had a cough that would not go away and was given this and in return she became ill with severe diarrhea, which has not gone away even with treatment with Metronidazole. She is on her second treatment with that and she is not fully back to normal. I would not give this to any child!!!! The cough is gone but what this medicine did to her inside I will never really know.

My 3 year old started showing signs of a UTI. We were prescribed CEFDINIR at 4.5ml for 10 days. On the 5th day of dosing she started experiencing abdominal pain\discomfort, nausea and vomiting. All throughout the night her side effects persisted. The UTI symptoms seem to have subsided, but now my concern is the side effects. I'm unhappy with this drug

This medication was prescribed to my 5 year old daughter to be used once a day for 10 days at 6.25ml for a cold, fever, rash that did not seem to subside for a week. Since my daughter's intake, she has had 2 stools that were red in color, and appeared to have blood in them. Very unusual, as she has never experienced this before.
