    After a migraine that had me lying in bed in agony for 6 hours, my doctor prescribed Butalbital pills. In the many years since then they've been a life-saver, letting me be fairly comfortable and function normally during the migraines I get about once or twice a month on average.     I have experienced cluster migraine headaches since 1994 during which time the frequency and intensity have increased. Medication regiments have been sumatriptan (Imitrex) injections, nasal spray, 100 mg tabs, and eletriptan (relpax) all have worked with varying degrees of success.     Love this medication, only side effect was dry mouth for me. Since it has caffeine in it, about 30 minutes after taking it and the pain subsides I feel like the energizer bunny!! Which I think is great. Take it early though at the first onset. My mistake is waiting to see if it is just a headache or a migraine...
