I have polycystic kidney disease and a host of airborne and food allergies. My life has been a continual struggle to push past the pain of fatigue, headaches, stuffy nose, etc. Almost all of the meds the doctors try to give me make life even more miserable. I have asthma. So anytime I get a coughing cold I always get placed on prednisone. Which clears my itchy skin, but as soon as I come off the drug I begin itching all over again. It is bad!!! I think that this medicine has destroyed something in my body, and not 1 doctor can tell me what is wrong...Putting me back on prednisone isn't the answer....HELP! I have had asthma for years and successfully treated it with brief prednisone treatments. My asthma became uncontrolled about 4 years ago. About 1 year ago I was diagnosed with ABPA and started treatment with an antifungal and prednisone.
