This drug turned me into a monster.Now that I'm off of adderall I look back and I cannot believe the way I acted.Very addictive,And in my opinion should not be prescribed.

My six year old step-son is diagnosed with Autism and ADHD. His mother had him put on this medication about two months ago. The first day was great. But since then, we are in a situation that is far worse than before. He is very angry, violent, and destructive. I have mild-moderate ADD, but without the hyperactivity. I have been on and off adderall, and usually on very small dosages. It usually helps, but unfortunately I get side effects pretty bad from stimulant drugs. The jittery feeling, increased hear rate, and loss of appetite. The jitters were the worst.
