I've been on this birth control for almost three years and am just now switching. It worked very effectively with minimal side effects for the first two and a half years. I've had no spotting, clear skin, and no changes in mood. I experienced slight weight gain, but that was mostly to due to an increased appetite I had to learn to control. However, I had delayed reactions and recently star ... Show Full Comment

Like everybody else says, periods are like clockwork and a lot easier to deal with. The only side effects I had was my boobs got bigger (no complaining on that one) and there is an increase in vaginal discharge. In my experience, guys can usually only feel it with their finger ... I have been on the Nuvaring for about 2 years now. Before the nuvaring I was on Desogen which was horrible. I had a horrible experience so I decided to switch to something with a "lower dose" and easier use. Pros: I love that I dont have to take it every day.. I insert it 3 weeks and forget about it. No mood swings.. at least not as bad as Desogen. I do feel a little anxious while I am ... Show Full Comment

I have used the Nuvaring for almost 3 years under the watch of my doctor. I love the convenience of not having to take a pill everyday. I have had only one ring in 3 years that didn't seem to want to stay in. It is easy to use with a tampon and have had no trouble during intercourse. I have experience some of the things mentioned in other interviews such as mood swings, headaches, discharge, a ... Show Full Comment
